Over the last 10 years, God has called me to work as a Missionary, Teacher, Campus Minister, and most recently, a Wife and Mother.
My passion for sharing God’s love in the community has led me to this next vocation of becoming a Spiritual Director.
I am currently enrolled at the Avila Institute School of Spiritual Formation to obtain certification in Spiritual Direction.
When I was in College, my dad convinced me to do a semester abroad in China. I spent 4 months in Beijing and learned to speak Mandarin. Because of their government, practicing my Catholic faith was considered to be very dangerous. Still, I made the decision to take a 40-minute bus ride every week to attend an underground Mass.
People tell me that I have a superpower for remembering dates and birthdays. Once I learn someone’s special day, I can usually remember it forever!
I see Spiritual Direction as an opportunity to bring someone a small step closer to God, no matter where they are on their faith journey. With everything going on in our lives, its easy to let our relationship with God take a back seat because we know He’ll always be there. Imagine what we can accomplish when we allow Him to lead the way.
Even though I love to read, I’ve recently taken to listening to Catholic podcasts. Fr. Mike Schmitz has his Bible in a Year podcast, and he also posts his weekly homilies that are always very inspiring.
I’m excited to offer spiritual companionship to anyone who feels called to grow in their current relationship with God and experience His providence.
